Happy Day of the Three Wise Men

Today we will tell you the legend of the Three Wise Men from the East who were chosen by God to worship her son Jesus. The Magi followed the star of Bethlehem, where they found the child with his parents in a humble stable. Quietly they approached the kid and knelt in front of him to offer their presents.

The first was Melchior, who offered him gold and said … “I bring you gold because I recognize in you the king that must have more power than all the kings of the earth, which has to be the King of Kings”.

The second one was Gaspar, who laid at the feet of the child a box containing incense and said … “I bring you incense because I can see in you the true God that everybody will have to recognize in you.”

And finally was Balthazar who left a cup containing myrrh and said … “I bring you myrrh because I recognize in you the Son of the Man who has to suffer and shed their blood to save the suffering humanity.”

This legend has been reported in most of the world, and is one of the most de

eply rooted traditions in the Spanish culture when children and adults go out to the streets to enjoy the parades that take place every January 5th in all large and small Spanish cities. In these parades, children are full of dreams and hopes, waiting for their gifts that they have asked for in their letters to the Three Wise Men.

We hope you liked to know a little bit more about our culture. Thank you for visiting our blog.

We wish you a nice Magi day!
